Psychedelic Session Playlist.

Music is an integral part of working successfully with psychedelics. Though some promote the idea of “in the dark in silence,” virtually no cultures that have used entheogens in their ceremonial life promote such a strange modern idea - everyone uses music and song! As a diverse and prolific musician, I’ve put together a 6-hour collection of some of my session-ready instrumental music for your listening pleasure. Not only does the playlist itself build up in successive waves, but the individual tracks do, as well, which is ideal for supporting the energetic and experiential waves of psychedelic experience. It begins with open, atmospheric soundscapes, transitions into more beat-driven tracks with electronic and world fusion sounds, dips back down into soundscapes, and builds up again, repeating several times with each track being a world in itself to be explored and basked within. There’s diverse instrumentation with 6 and 12 string guitars, mandolin, eclectic percussion, didjeridu, throat and overtone signing, Native American “wood block” flute, and synth sounds galore with big, epic tracks and sounds. All tracks are instrumental with some “energy language” on a few selections, but no recognizable words, and no obvious reference to any specific traditions, religions, or spiritual views, allowing the listener to make their own associations and symbolic meanings.

5-MeO-DMT Extended Session Playlist

For those working with 5-MeO-DMT in extended sessions (more than one intake of the molecule), here’s a 1.5 hour playlist to support your experience. The tracks are open, spacious, and expansive soundscapes with rich textures and lush sounds to offer sonic input to help one through the repeated openings and processing of the experience. At the end of the playlist, two tracks with beats and melodies and harmonies provide input to help ground, center, and return to baseline in beauty and wonder.
